MIXED BAG NEWS ------------------------------------------------------ Pete Fornatale and Mixed Bag Radio are proud to announce new members of the Mixed Bag family, Gibson Guitars and Baldwin Pianos. To date, Mixed Bag Radio has recorded our shows at the MBR studio in New Jersey, The Museum of Television and Radio in New York (John Hiatt, Richard Thompson, Fountains of Wayne and countless others), on location at venues such as B.B. Kings (Graham Parker) and the Stone Pony (with special guest Bruce Springsteen), and in recording studio settings (with Steely Dan, Sting). Late this summer, Gibson Guitars and Baldwin Pianos invited Mixed Bag Radio record sessions at their New York City showroom. Our premiere session at this wonderful studio was taped in September with guest Ben Folds. Since then, visits with Emmylou Harris, Lyle Lovett, Peter Frampton and The Jayhawks have also been recorded. We thank Gibson/Baldwin for their support and look forward to many more exclusive interviews and live performances at their beautiful facility. Our program has be sent to over 250 Triple A stations throughout the country. This effort has been organized to address the many inquiries that we have had from commercial stations requesting to carry the show. After careful consideration, Mixed Bag Radio has decided to make our weekly show available to commercial stations as well as public radio. Our many public radio affiliates, including WFUV in New York, will not be affected by this decision. Mixed Bag Radio will continue to air in its regular weekly time slot on all stations that currently carry our program.
